Pre-Thanksgiving dinner held at 47th Precinct Community Council’s general membership meeting

The 47th Precinct Community Council held its first pre-Thanksgiving dinner celebration during its general membership meeting on Wednesday, Nov. 13, at the Church of Pentecost, located at 621 East 2016th St.
Community members gathered to engage in meaningful discussions about local issues, share their thoughts and experiences, enjoy a meal, and take part in raffles. The event, which included prayer, fostered a strong sense of community and togetherness among attendees.

The meals were served by young adults from the Bronx Youth Empowerment Program and members of the 47th Precinct Explorers Program.

The event also acted as a birthday celebration for Church of Pentecost Pastor Franklyn Williamson, who was surprised with a cake before everyone sang “Happy Birthday” to him.

During the general membership meeting, multiple community members were honored. These included Police Officers David Belle and Seville Legrand, who were honored for their outstanding dedication to the community. Officer Dylon Signor was also named the Cop of the Month for the 47th Precinct.
