The Bronx County Chorus has announced that Monday, Jan. 27, will be the final day to join the group for its spring 2025 season. The recruitment meeting will take place at 7:15 p.m. at the First Lutheran Church of Throggs Neck, located at 3075 Baisley Ave.

This extended deadline comes after the cancellation of the Jan. 20 meeting due to snow. Prospective members are encouraged to arrive early to meet Chorus Director Miles Fellenberg and connect with current members of the group.
The theme for the spring 2025 concert, titled “I Hear America Singing,” will feature a diverse program celebrating music inspired by the United States. The repertoire will include an eclectic mix of folk, show tunes, classical pieces, traditional works, and original compositions.
Membership is open to all, with opportunities available for all voice parts. The Bronx County Chorus welcomes anyone with a love for choral music and provides an engaging environment for participants to experience the joy of singing together.
The Bronx County Chorus is celebrated for its diverse repertoire, which includes folk, show tunes, classical pieces, traditional works, and original compositions. Membership is open to all, with opportunities available for singers of all voice parts. The group offers a welcoming environment where participants can experience the joy and camaraderie of choral singing.
Each semester, the Bronx County Chorus performs two outreach concerts and one formal concert. In the past, it has performed for Amber Court Assisted Living and the Kings Harbor Multicare Center. Its current outreach program is at the Schuyler House, located at 3077 Cross Bronx Expwy. #1.
The Bronx County Chorus is publicly funded by its members and the Bronx Council On The Arts, through the New York State Council On the Arts Decentralization Program.
Chorus members are required to pay semester dues of $40 for individuals and $60 for couples or families.
