The Brooklyn-based cafe Kofee has signed a lease to open up a new location in Mott Haven, on the ground floor of a 27-story residential tower at 2413 Third Ave.
The cafe, which will occupy about 720 square feet of ground floor space in a new development called Maven, is expected to open during the first quarter of 2025. The opening will be Kofee’s second location.
Kofee, which currently has a lone location at 711 Fulton St. in Brooklyn, says it is known for offering quality coffee and espressos—and seeks to set itself apart from other coffee shops by creating a peaceful, friendly and comforting environment.
The new cafe will be part of a large residential complex.
Maven features 200 total residential units, ranging in size from one-bedroom to three-bedroom. Sixty of the units are rent stabilized, reserved for those earning 130% of the area median income.
The development has no shortage of amenities, including a fitness center, outdoor lounge areas, a game room, coworking spaces and 81 on-site enclosed parking spaces, which also feature electric vehicle charging stations. Additionally, the building is conveniently located within close proximity to subway stations that service the 4, 5 and 6 trains.
