Less than a week remains to sign up for a housing lottery running through Wednesday, April 29, for four units at 1435 E. Gun Hill Rd. in the Baychester section of the Bronx.

The 5-story residential building has 20 housing units, with 16 at market rate. All four units set aside for the housing lottery are intended for those earning 80% of the area median income and with an asset limit of $129,600. They are each one-bedroom units with a monthly rent of $2,188. Up to three people can occupy one of these units, as long as the annual household income ranges from $81,875-$116,640.

The property features a shared laundry room. Additional fees apply to use it. Tenants will be responsible for electricity, including the electric stove, hot water and heat. The area around the property has a pedestrian-friendly walk score. The Gun Hill Road subway station, which provides service for the 5 train, is just two blocks away.

In addition to the Gun Hill Road subway station, other nearby mass transportation options include bus stops for the Bx5, Bx23, Bx25, Bx26, Bx28, Bx30, Bx31, Bx38, Q50, 60, 61 and 62 lines.
