The Bronx Yoga Summit. The Largest Yoga Gathering In The Bronx!: 10 a.m.-4 p.m. at Southern Boulevard and 174th Street

Join Bronx Holistic Healing and Synergi Healing this Saturday for the largest yoga gathering in the Bronx. The event costs $16.59 for entry and all are welcome, as there are different levels of yoga that will be taught during the event. Ayurveda yoga and gentle yoga will be taught and performed by the professionals at the event. Learning yoga is a good way to destress and is good exercise, all those considering giving yoga a chance should attend the event.

Family Health Day & Office Grand Opening: 11:30 a.m.-12 p.m. at 3853 E. Tremont Ave.

Join New York State Sen. Nathalia Fernandez as she celebrates the grand opening of her new office with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. Following the ribbon cutting, free blood screenings will be held and a bouncy castle will be set up for children. The event is free and free food will be offered and all are welcomed to attend the event and enjoy the festivities.

Hidden Gems Walking Tour: 1 p.m.-4 p.m. at Farm in the Bronx

Join NYC Parks GreenThumb and Bronx Community Board 6 to experience the Bronx’s hidden gem community gardens with a walking tour that will take you on a journey through some of the borough’s most notable greenery. The tour will feature vibrant and colorful flower beds to lush vegetable gardens. The walk will have four stops starting at Farm in the Bronx, then El Batey de Doña Provi, then Cook Community Farm and will culminate at Bathgate Community Garden for a meet and greet of community members. These gardens are perfect for those interested in joining a garden, and want to experience the fun of gardening first hand.

Bronx Zoo: 10 a.m.-5:30 p.m. at 2300 Southern Blvd.

If you’re looking for a fun, engaging place to spend your Sunday with your family, consider stopping by the Bronx Zoo. Children under two get free admission and the normal prices vary by age range from $28.75 for children ages 3-12, $37.75 for adults 13 and older and $33.25 for seniors 65 and older. The zoo has a Budgie Landing experience that is fun for the whole family; you enter an enclosed area filled with budgies, or as they’re better known parakeets, where you can feed the birds and enjoy the view of them flying around.

New York Botanical Garden: 10 a.m.-6 p.m. at 2900 Southern Blvd.

The New York Botanical Garden is the perfect place to spend your Sunday. The garden offers many events held daily for all to enjoy. There is an interactive art project event being held all throughout the day and will allow visitors to experience a fun art project. Ticket prices vary for age ranges, it is $35 for adults, $31 for students with valid ID and seniors, $15 for children 2-12. The garden is full of beautiful scenery and fun activities for the whole family.
