Bronx Community Mural Project: 11 a.m.-3 p.m. at the New York Botanical Garden

Help bring a Bronx-inspired mural to life at the NYBG. Designed by Lady K Fever, a New York City-based street artist, activist and educator, this color by number mural project will be displayed for the public all year — and you can be a part of it. Pinkster Festival: 12 p.m.-4 p.m. at the Van Cortlandt Museum House

Celebrate Pinkster in VCP with food, activities, live music and more. Pinkster is the Dutch word for the Christian holiday of Pentecost. In New York, it developed a unique character as it mixed with the cultures of enslaved and free people of African descent throughout history. Edgar Allan Poe Tour: 3 p.m.-4 p.m. at the Bronx Library Center

Visit the home of famed poet Edgar Allan Poe and his wife, Virginia, on this historical tour. Also take the chance to view the current exhibit on display, “The Death of Edgar and Virginia Poe.” Registration is strongly recommended, so be sure to register and check out the tour details here.

Hip Hop Fever: 8 p.m. at Lehman Center for the Performing Arts
