Family Art Project: Flowers for Mother’s Day: 10 a.m.-1 p.m. at Wave Hill House

Celebrate Mother’s Day with this special art event at Wave Hill. Explore the art of floriography — the use flowers to communicate a message — to send Mother’s Day wishes to a special someone via bouquet. Materials will be provided for both the bouquet and a vase of your making. This activity is free with admission to the grounds, and details can be found here.

Rugby Women’s Premier League Match: 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at Gaelic Park

Cheer on your favorite rugby team this Saturday at this double matchup at Gaelic Park. At 10:30 a.m., New York EGU will face Worcester, and at 1 p.m., New York WPL will take on the Berkeley All Blues. Tickets are valid for entry to both games, and are available for purchase here. Entry is free for children.

Health Day Skate Party: 12 p.m.-3 p.m. at St. Mary’s Park

Skate on down to St. Mary’s Park for this fun-filled Bronx Week event. Enjoy roller skating with a live DJ, and be sure to take advantage of free health screenings and wellness resources provided by the Bronx Borough President’s office. The event is free, but be sure to claim your time slot to skate here.

Spanish Harlem Orchestra: 7:30 p.m. at Hostos Center for the Arts & Culture

Spend a music-filled evening with the Spanish Harlem Orchestra. The three-time Grammy Award-winning orchestra adds its own touch to Latin music. With special guests Miguel Zenón on alto saxophone and vocalist Ray de la Paz, this is sure to be a performance to remember. Get your tickets here.
