The Bronx is about to get spookier and more festive as “Halloween at Fordham Plaza” is set to take place later this month.

The event, which is the summer finale of Night Markets NYC: Fordham Plaza (formerly the Bronx Night Market), will see the plaza transformed into a Halloween wonderland for all ages.

Set to take place on Saturday, Oct. 26, from noon to 7 p.m., this all-day event is expected to draw over 8,000 attendees. Organized by MASC Hospitality Group in partnership with the Bronx Borough President’s Office, the celebration will showcase a mix of entertainment, food, and Halloween-themed activities for all ages.

Attendees will be offered cuisine from more than 40 food vendors. The lineup includes popular eateries such as Perros Locos NYC, La Braza, BarrelHouse NY LLC, Culiraw Inc., and Reka’s Confections. Whether it’s savory street fare or Halloween-inspired desserts, the wide variety of offerings aims to please.

The entertainment will include DJ Riddim spinning live music. For those looking for a more immersive experience, the silent disco will provide a private, music-filled space for partygoers to dance the day away. And for the little ones–and the young at heart—there will be trick-or-treating opportunities, with vendors handing out sweet treats.

One of the day’s highlights will be the annual costume contest, where participants of all ages can showcase their spooky, creative, or funny Halloween outfits. Winners in various categories will receive special prizes.

For those seeking a little more spectacle, the Bindlestiff Circus Troupe will perform live, featuring circus acts.

Several community sponsors will have booths at the event, including NYC Votes, Green Mountain Energy, Zeta Charter Schools, and Brilla Public Charter Schools.

Organizers are calling on residents to RSVP and follow the event’s Instagram page for updates. Admission is free.
