The Bronx Council on the Arts and the Huntington Free Library present a free ECO Art Creative Recycling Art Collage workshop on Saturday, March 21, from noon to 3 p.m. at the Huntington Free Library at 9 Westchester Square (next to the Apple Savings Bank). The workshop is open to the public and all are welcome.
A free workshop for all ages. Join artist Star Nigro as she shows you cool and clever ways to make great eco art. Join us and learn to construct a masterpiece by creatively recycling old and new elements. Make eco-logical art.
Award winning, multimedia artist and photographer, Nigro breaks the barriers of the photographic image by bringing a third dimension to an otherwise flat medium. Star received her BFA in photography and has since been recognized for her unique vision as a working and exhibiting photographer ranging from galleries, boutiques and museums.
Nigro has facilitated photography related workshops to children and adults in both public and private venues from Portsmouth Alternative high school in New Hampshire, Studio 28 in Shokan, NY, Apple Farm Camp in Elmer, New Jersey, YWCA in Boston, MA and she is currently teaching at the Woodstock School for Young Artists in Woodstock, NY.
Nigro’s work can be found in private and public collections including the Royal Sonesta Hotels and currently her photographic jewelry collection and greeting cards can be found at the Bronx Museum gift store. More of her work can be seen at www.starnigro.com.
