MTA releases limited edition Dolly Parton MetroCards in honor of singer’s new album

The Metropolitan Transportation Authority, in partnership with Legacy Recordings, the catalog division of Sony Music Entertainment, and Dolly Records, announced that 50,000 MetroCard vending machines at four high-traffic Manhattan subway stations will be loaded with limited-edition cards honoring the release of international superstar Dolly Parton’s album, “Dolly Parton – Diamonds & Rhinestones: The Greatest Hits Collection,” which comes out on Nov. 18.

In the spirit of riders using the transit system and “working 9 to 5,” MetroCards will be available for purchase as early as Wednesday, Nov. 9 on a first come, first served basis. Cards will be available at the vending machines that accept all forms of payment, including credit, debit, and cash at the following stations in Manhattan:

  • 34 Street-Penn Station
  • 34 Street -Herald Square
  • Grand Central – 42 Street
  • Times Square-42 Street  / 42 St
