Bronx Borough President Vanessa L. Gibson, in partnership with Montefiore Einstein and Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, held her annual Back to School Health and Literacy Fair on Thursday, Aug. 8, at P.S. 65 Mother Hale Academy, located at 677 East 141st St.
Kids who attended the fair, which ran from 3 to 6 p.m., received backpacks, notebooks, pens, and pencils. Additionally, free health screenings and haircuts were available for the kids in attendance.
This year’s event was sponsored by Newline Interactive and Age of Learning. In addition to sponsoring the event, Age of Learning also donated 5,000 books that were distributed throughout the fair.
