Zodiacs hold trophy night

On Friday, March 13, the Zodiacs Track Team had a good turnout for its orientation.

On Saturday, March 14, they had an awards banquet, with plenty of food, thanks to coordinator Joanne Perrineau and the Zodiacs parents. They did a excellent job, with the food and decorations. DJ Artemus “Tee” Harris rock the house with old school and new school R&B sounds. To close the evening, the children were awarded with trophies and the coaches and staff was surprised by the parents when they gave them beautiful plaques and secretary Beverly Brailsford, treasure Yseut Beecher and fundraiser Felicia Anderson lovely gifts.

The special awards participants were: Life Time Achievement Award went to Simone Grant, MVP went Francine Pinnock and Spencer Jackson. Up and Coming New Stars went to Dominique Jackson, Kadreya Simeon, Cynyah Lawrence and Quinten Perrineau. Academic awards went to Tyron Ingram and Sanaa Shakwi. Most Improved Awards went to Taylor Velez and Kevin Mathis.

On Saturday, March 21, the Zodiacs rocked at the New York Road Runners Jamboree Track and Field meet. They had approximately 33 athletes at the meet. The top three in each race goes to the podium. The Zodiacs had 29 out of the 33 athletes make it to the podium.
