Kylie Duran, a first-year student at Preston High School, took center stage as a featured soloist with the Carlos Henriquez Septet at Jazz at Lincoln Center on Sunday, Sept. 29. This special one-time performance, hosted by the Carlos Henriquez Septet and Highbridge Voices, welcomed the community for an unforgettable evening of music.
With over four years of experience in singing and playing the violin, Duran has already made a mark in the arts. She joined the Preston community after graduating from Sacred Heart School in the Highbridge section of the Bronx and participating in their Divinity Series Music Program. At Preston, she looks forward to participating in the upcoming Preston Players production in the spring and engaging with the Young Leaders in Medicine club.
