Friday, January 27 at 4:50 p.m. — Cops received a report of a grand larceny taking place in the rear of 1309 Washington Avenue. An Hispanic man in between 20-years-old and 30-years-old approached a 54-year-old male victim from behind and put his hands inside his pockets. When the victim pushed away, he was stabbed twice in the torso and forearm. The would-be robber fled empty-handed into 1309 Washington Avenue. The person cops are looking for was last seen wearing a red hooded sweater, a red knit cap, white sneakers, and blue jeans.

45 Precinct

Saturday, January 14 at 9:00 p.m. –A push-in robbery was reported in Co-op City. Two people, both described as Hispanic men, pushed their way inside of an apartment of a 61-year-old man. The two men struck the victim’s head with a firearm before stealing his keys and fleeing the scene. The men cops are looking for were wearing dark jackets during the robbery.

46 Precinct

Saturday, January 28 at 3:00 a.m. — A shooting was reported outside a lounge at 1789 Webster Avenue. A 21-year-old man was hit in the torso inside the lounge. As the shooter exited the club, he shot someone else, a woman, once in the leg. The man was taken to Albert Einstein Medical Center and the woman to St. Barnabas Hospital where they were treated.

49 Precinct

Sunday, January 15 at 4:25 p.m.. — Cops received a report from two 31-year-old women that three people gained entry into their apartment on Yates Avenue. One of the men had a handgun and demanded cash and property. They took two iPhone 6 cell phones, a purse, cash and credit cards. They fled the scene in a black SUV that may possibly be a Jeep Liberty. The women suffered lacerations to their heads after they were pistol whipped during the incident.
