Sunday, August 13 at 10:52 a.m. –A sexual assault on a minor was reported to police. A 12-year-old woman was walking near Weeks Avenue and East 173rd Street when she was approached by a man with a gun. She was ordered into an alley, where she was sexually assaulted.

46 Precinct

Wednesday, August 16 at 8:45 p.m. — Cops responded to a 911 call about human remains found near Walton Avenue and East 182nd Street. When they got to the scene, the responding police officers found an unconscious and unresponsive unidentified man.

The man was stuffed inside a cardboard box and covered with a black bag and also placed inside a shopping cart. EMS responded and pronounced the man dead on the scene. The medical examiner’s office is investigating the matter.

47 Precinct

Friday, August 18 at 12:15 a.m.. — Cops received a report of a robbery of a deli. A group of individuals entered a deli at 871 E. 220th Street. They took out guns and approached a 32-year-old employee, demanding money. The employee gave the individuals the money and fled the location with an undetermined amount of money. No injuries were reported as a result of this incident.

Saturday, August 12 at 2:50 p.m. — A push in burglary was foiled when a victim yelled for help as two people tried to push in her front door. The incident occurred at Bailey Avenue and W. 233rd Street. Hearing her screams were two relatives inside of the apartment: a 52-year-old woman and a 41-year-old man. The victims managed to prevent the two individuals from entering the apartment,. They fled on foot, and then entered a light-colored car and drove away, leaving the scene.
