Tuesday, December 20 at 9:50 a.m. — Police received a report of a robbery near Elton Avenue and East 157th Street. It was reported that three unknown people entered a 87-year-old victim’s home by forcing their way inside. Once in, the victim was threatened with a knife. His home attendant was tied up in a bathroom. The people took about $10,000 in cash and fled the scene.

42 Precinct

Tuesday, December 20 at 8:24 p.m. — Cops responded to a 911 call of a man shot near Crotona Park North and East 175th Street. When police officers arrived on the scene, they found a 24-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the back. EMS responded and transported the victim to St. Barnabas Hospital where he died. Police report that an investigation was ongoing immediately following the incident.

43 Precinct

Tuesday, December 20 at 2:48 p.m. — A robbery of a Chinese restaurant was reported to police. At the stated time, a black man described as being close to six feet tall and 189 pounds walked into the Great Wall Restaurant at 1179 Pugsley Avenue. The firearm was pointed at a 49-year-old male employee working behind the counter. The man took an unknown amount of money from the cash register and fled the scene. No injuries were reported. The man described by police was last seen wearing blue coat, gray hoodie, dark pants and dark shoes.

52 Precinct

Friday, December 23 at 9:40 p.m. — Cops responding to a 911 call found a dead man inside of 2916 Grand Concourse. The 49-year-old man was found unresponsive with no apparent trauma. EMS responded and pronounced the man dead. The medical examiner will determine cause of death.
