42nd Precinct

Friday, August 24 at 2:02 p.m. — Police responded to a call of a suspicious package near Franklin Street and Crotona Park South, and arrived on the scene to find an unconscious and unresponsive person on the sidewalk opposite 636 Crotona Park South. EMS came to the scene, and pronounced the victim dead. The NYC Medical Examiner’s office will determine the cause of death.

45th Precinct

Tuesday, August 28 at 9:21 p.m. — Cops responded to a 911 call concerning a collision on the water between a boat and a Jet Ski near a marina and seaplane base at 1470 Outlook Avenue. When they got to the scene, police found a 30-year-old man who was conscious and had head trauma and a 26-year-old woman who was also conscious with trauma to her leg. EMS took both to Jacobi Medical Center, where the man later died. The woman was listed in critical but stable condition shortly after the incident. A preliminary investigation found that the man was operating the Jet Ski when he hit a docked and occupied boat. Both the man and the woman were thrown from the Jet Ski due to the force of the crash. The person in the boat wasn’t injured.

Wednesday, August 29 at 7:50 p.m. — The NYPD’s Scuba Unit found a 29-year-old unconscious man in the water off Orchard Beach. EMS took the man to Jacobi Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. The NYC Medical Examiner’s Office will determine the cause of death as the police continue investigating.

46th Precinct

Sunday, August 26 at 4:45 p.m. — A 30-year-old woman was on a northbound IND D train when an unidentified man grabbed her buttocks as he fondled his groin. When the subway train reached the East Tremont Avenue station, the individual fled the train. He was approximately five feet and ten inches tall, weighed 245 pounds and had long hair.
