The Yard @ Mr. McGoo’s Pub & Grill held their first ever annual cancer awareness fundraiser, Musicians Against Cancer, on Saturday, July 11. Local music artists such as Jameson’s Revenge, East Coast Rednecks, Kilcullen, Monster Brew, Caz Van Queen, the Bryan Durieux Project, the Wondermics and Rocky and the Pressers performed for those in attendance. Proceeds from the event will benefit the American Cancer Society of the Bronx and will fund the borough’s groundbreaking research and local programs. A ceremony was held after the performances to honor those who lost their battle with cancer.
