A 25-year-old man died in motorcycle accident in Parkchester over the weekend.
According to police, George Gonzalez was driving his white sports bike to visit a friend on Sunday, August 21 on East Tremont and Unionport avenues.
At 3:30 p.m., Gonzalez attempted to pass a Honda Accord at 1980 E. Tremont Avenue, but instead clipped its rear bumper before colliding into a double parked tow truck.
The motorcyclist, who sustained a large gash on his stomach and back trauma, was rushed to Jacobi Medical Center where he died.
Gonzalez leaves behind a six-year-old daughter.
The car’s driver stayed at the accident scene and was not issued any summonses.
Police said, the tow truck driver received a summons for double parking.
