In keeping with tradition, the Friends of Pelham Bay Park welcomed the spring season with its annual fundraiser on Thursday, April 6 at the Pelham Split Rock Golf Clubhouse, honoring three special friends who support the park.
This year’s honorees included Councilman James Vacca; Ellen Bruzelius, former Bartow Pell Mansion Museum director and Jorge Santiago, Bronx environmental activist and historian.
All funds raised will support all-natural play elements at Pond Walk, the accessible wetland area in the Playground for All Children.
