Bronx Assembly Member Michael R. Benedetto announced earlier this month that he will be sponsoring a driver safety program on Saturday, Nov. 9, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Attendees will undergo the NYS Department of Motor Vehicles Approved Insurance Reduction Program, which is scheduled to take place at the Fort Schuyler House, located at 3077 Cross Bronx Expwy.
The six-hour course is intended to help participants refresh their driving knowledge by reviewing time-tested safe driving tips. Participants who finish the class will receive a 10% reduction in their automobile and motorcycle premiums for the following three years.
Signing up for the class will cost $30. Those interested in participating are advised to call Assembly Member Benedetto’s office at 718-892-2235.
Benedetto represents the 82nd State Assembly District, which covers the Bronx neighborhoods of City Island, Co-op City, Country Club, Pelham Bay, Throggs Neck and Westchester Square.
