Birth Announcement

The Bronx Times the following birth announcement from a hospital:

Audrey Donoghue was born on Friday, June 2. Her grandmother Helen Donoghue lives in the borough.

Notable Passing

Florence Robinson Evers, a longtime resident of Throggs Neck before moving to Columbia County passed away on Tuesday, May 30.

Flo was a small business owner of Flo-Mar Fabrics on East Tremont Avenue back in the late 70s early 80s before she was forced to close the store due to high rents.

She was very active with the Rosarians at St. Frances de Chantal as well as with her church, Our Lady of Hope in Copake, NY.

She raised five children, a niece and many others that came through her door on Edison Avenue.

She was laid to rest with her husband Jim on Tuesday, June 6 at St. Raymond’s Cemetery.

The family asks that you keep Flo in your thoughts and prayers.
