41 Precinct

Friday, August 19, 6:50 p.m. . — Cops got a report of two crimes that took place in rapid succession on this date. A victim, a 51-year-old man, was siting on the corner of Westchetser Avenue and Tiffany Street when three people approached him from behind an struck him with an object. They removed his wallet and cellphone. His wallet had cash and debit and credit cards. They fled on foot. Less than two hours earlier, they approached a 14-year-old victim at Beck Street and Intervale Avenue. The victim’s wallet was taken. The suspects in both incidents are described as Black men between 16-year-old and 20-years-old. All are roughly five feet, five inches to five feet, seven inches and have dark complexions.

45 Precinct

Wednesday, August 3, 2:08 a.m. — Two additional arrests have been made in an incident that took place in front of 2231 Glebe Avenue in which one man died. Nathaniel Smith was arrested and charged with robbery in connection with the incident. Elijah Moody, a 21-year-old man, was arrested in connection with the incident and charged with murder, manslaughter, robbery and criminal possession of weapon.

52 Precinct

Saturday, August 20, 10:05 a.m. — An assault was reported to police as taking place as an Hispanic man boarded a Bee Line Bus at Jerome Avenue and West Bedford Park Boulevard. The man had a conversation with the bus driver, a 52-year-old man, and then assaulted him by punching him in the face, a crime that is a felony under state law.

Saturday, August 27, 7:25 a.m. — Cops found a man who was ‘dead on arrival’ when they responded to a 911 call about someone in need of assistance at West Fordham Road and University Avenue. When the police officers arrived on the scene they found the man, a 26-year-old, unconscious and unresponsive on a bench. EMS responded and pronounced the male deceased on scene. The medical examiner will determine cause of the death.
