Police from the 46th Precinct are searching for the two suspects who assaulted two teenagers before stealing their sneakers and fleeing the scene in Morris Heights last month.

Authorities say that the two teenagers — ages 15 and 16 — were near West 174th Street and Davidson Avenue at approximately 1:30 p.m. on Jan. 9 when the two suspects approached them and demanded they hand over their sneakers. The two suspects — both males — then repeatedly punched and kicked the teens and forcibly removed their sneakers before fleeing on foot in an unknown direction.

The teens sustained minor injuries as a result off the altercation, but refused medical attention at the scene, police said.

The NYPD on Feb. 21 released images of the suspects.

One suspect is approximately 5 feet, 6 inches tall with a medium complexion and a slim build. He was last seen wearing gray sweatpants, a gray sweatshirt and a black bubble jacket, police said.
