Schneps Media hosted the Bronx Times’ annual Bronx Power Women in Business awards and networking event on Tuesday, June 18.

The annual event, now in its 10th year and previously known as the Bronx Times’ 25 Influential Women, was renamed with a new theme and some new traditions as it was again held this year at Maestro’s Caterers.

A red carpet was introduced, and as each award winner’s name was read, they strolled and in some cases danced there way up to the podium to accept their awards.

Crystal Vitaliano opened the ceremony with an incredible rendition of The National Anthem.

A raffle made its debut, and it included a number of prizes, including a trip to Cancun, with all proceeds going to the Bronx YMCA.

Victoria Schneps, Schneps Media CEO, who was introduced by Bronx Times publisher Laura Guerriero as a “true power woman” who made the event possible, provided welcoming remarks during an awards presentation program that followed a networking dinner where the honored women got to speak about themselves.

Schneps Media’s President and Publisher spoke about how pleased she was to have acquired the Bronx Times Reporter, which became part of Schneps Media family in 2018. Victoria runs the company with her son Joshua Schneps, who is its CEO and co-publisher.
