Thursday, March 17, 3:06 p.m. — Cops responded to a 911 call of a man shot in front of 1755 Story Avenue. When cops arrived, they found a 21-year-old shooting victim who shot in the torso. EMS also responded to the scene and brought the victim to Jacobi Medical Center where he died.

Saturday, March 19, 4:53 a.m. — An suspect allegedly entered a deli at 676 Castle Hill Avenue through an air vent and stole merchandise. The suspect got away with 20 boxes of Newport cigarettes and an undetermined number of lottery tickets.

46 Precinct

Saturday, February 6, 3:40 a.m. — A 29 year-old male victim was walking in front of 1708 University Place when two men approached him and began to punch him in the head and in his body. During the assault, one of the two men attacked the victim menaced him with a knife. The victim then attempted to disarm the man with the knife. He suffered a laceration to his hand. The suspects fled the scene. The victim refused medical attention.

Friday, March 18, 1:50 a.m. — A man followed a 19-year-old male into his building near West 181st Street and Jerome Avenue. The robber took out a gun and demanded that the victim turn over his belongings. The robber took money from his victim and fled the scene. No injuries were reported.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male with a light complexion, weighing about 200 pounds, and last seen wearing a black jacket, black boots and jeans.

50 Precinct

Saturday, March 19, 2:00 p.m. – NYPD Harbor responded to a 911 call of an unconscious man in the Hudson River off of Palisade and Independence avenues. When paramedics arrived, he was pronounced ‘Dead on Arrival.’ The Medical Examiner launched an investigation.
