40th Precinct

Monday January 7 at 12:00 a.m. –The NYPD is seeking the public’s help in identifying two individuals they want to interview in connection with two robberies. The most recent incident occurred sometime between midnight and 7 a.m. when an unidentified man gained entry to the Brightside Day Care Center at 770 St. Ann’s Avenue by throwing an object through a glass door. Once he got inside, this individual took baby formula and fled the scene. This comes on the heels of another incident at the same location on Christmas Day when the aforementioned individual and another individual entered the day care center at around the same time and took $158 and various household items before fleeing. Both individuals are black men who are about 30 years old. One was last seen wearing a black hat, red hooded sweatshirt, red pants and black sneakers. The other was last seen wearing a black hat, gray coat, gray sweatshirt and white sneakers.

Tuesday, January 8 at 6:20 p.m. — The NYPD is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying three individuals wanted in connection with a robbery. Photos of the individuals are available on this page. They approached a 32-year-old man near Brook Avenue and East 135th Street and punched him in the face one time. The victim fell to the ground and the three individuals took an iPhone 6, $80 in cash and two credit cards from the victim before leaving the scene. The victim refused medical attention.

43rd Precinct

Monday, Janaury 28 at 8:34 p.m. — Police got a report of an assault that took place in front of a Met Supermarket at 751 White Plains Road. An unknown individual took out a gun and fired a shot at a 15-year-old man and a 19-year-old man. Both victims were hit and sustained gunshot wounds to their feet. EMS responded and took both of the men to Jacobi Medical Center, where they were in stable condition after the incident. The unknown individual firing the shot fled on White Plains Road. He is described as a black man who is about 25-years-old. He has a medium build and a beard. He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, a black coat and dark pants.

47th Precinct

Sunday, January 20 at 6:50 p.m. — Cops received a report of a robbery that occurred near Matthews and Burke avenues. Two individuals approached a 19-year-old man from behind and slammed him to the ground, placing him in a choke hold in the process of the attack. The victim became unconscious. The two individuals punched and kicked the victim in the head while he was on the ground and took his cell phone and some money. The individuals are both male blacks. One is described as last seen wearing a black coat with a fur lined hood. The other was wearing a blue coat with a fur lined hood.

50th Precinct

Tuesday, January 29 at 11:44 a.m.– Police responded to a report of a person assaulted inside of 3034 Kingsbridge Avenue. When they arrived on the scene, they found a 39-year-old man with stab wounds to the torso. The man was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead. An investigation is ongoing.
