40th Precinct

Saturday, December 29 at 7:45 p.m. — The NYPD is seeking the public’s help in identifying an individual wanted in connection to a robbery. The individual approached a 31-year-old man at Jackson Avenue and East 152nd Street. The individual and another individual had guns, and proceeded to rob the victim at gunpoint. They took a Bulova watch, $1,000 in cash, bracelet, necklace and ring from the victim before fleeing in a BMW.

Tuesday, January 1 at 6:30 p.m. — Cops are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying an individual in connection with a robbery. Near St. Mary’s Park at St. Ann’s Avenue and East 149th Street, (see photo), he approached two teenagers and simulated a gun. He demanded the two victims’ property. The individual took about $900 and fled the location. No injuries were reported.

43rd Precinct

Saturday, February 9 at 2:04 a.m. — Police responded to a 911 call concerning an unconscious man in front of 258 Soundview Avenue. When they arrived on the scene, cops found a 50-year-old man lying on the ground unresponsive. He had bruise on the back of his head. EMS responded and took the man to Einstein hospital where he was pronounced dead. The medical examiner will determine the cause of death. The investigation is ongoing.

48th Precinct

Wednesday, January 23 at 9:00 p.m.– The NYPD is asking for the public’s assistance in learning the whereabouts of an unidentified man (pictured on this page) in connection with an apartment robbery. The individual entered an apartment building near East 175th Street and Cortona Park North. A victim was inside the apartment: a man in his 70s who was home by himself when he heard a knock on his door. The victim opened the door and the unidentified man forced his way into the apartment, grabbing a knife from a kitchen. He sat the man in his 70s into a chair and began slashing his arms and hands while demanding money. The individual then removed $2,000 from under a mattress in the apartment, as well a cell phone and landline telephone, before fleeing the location. The victim sought assistance from a neighbor and called 911. EMS took the victim to a local hospital in stable condition.

Cops in the 40th Precinct are looking to interview this individual in connection with a robbery on New Year’s Day.
