41 Precinct

Sunday, March 18 at 5:00 a.m. — Cops received a report of a robbery of a taxicab driver. The cabbie, a 44-year-old man, picked up a fare at the corner of East 149th Street and Southern Boulevard. The individual hailing the cab requested to be driven to 997 Kelly Street. When the car arrived at the destination, a verbal disagreement between the driver and the passenger ensued. The passenger took out a small pocket knife and he stabbed the cabbie once in the torso before fleeing on foot. The driver was taken by EMS to Lincoln Hospital where he was treated for minor injuries. He was in stable condition shortly after the incident.

43 Precinct

Tuesday, March 13 at 9:50 p.m. — Police took a report about an attempted robbery that occurred near the corner of Watson and Ward avenues. One of two individuals asked a 25-year-old man for a dollar on his way into a store. The victim told him he didn’t have any money, and proceeded into the store. The two individuals then waited outside the store and when the victim came out one pulled a knife and demanded his money. The victim ran away. One of the individuals is described as a dark-skinned man who is between the ages of 14-years-old and 17-years-old. He was wearing a black coat, dark colored pants and dark sneakers. The second person is a dark-skinned man also around the same age. He was last seen wearing a black coat, dark colored pants and dark colored sneakers.

48 Precinct

Saturday, March 17 12:45 a.m. — A robbery and shooting took place in front of 1338 Morrison Avenue. A 26-year-old man, a taxi driver, was confronted by an individual with a handgun who shot the victim several times before taking $23 and fleeing the location. The victim was taken to Jacobi Medical Center where he was listed in stable condition. The individual who shot him is described as a black man in his twenties who was wearing all black.

52 Precinct

Tuesday, March 20 at 7:16 p.m. — Cops got a report of a robbery inside of a boutique located at 286 W. Fordham Road. A black man in his early 30s who is about six feet tall approached a store clerk and asked the price of an item of clothing. Then he took out a switchblade knife and said “give me all of the money you have right now.” The store clerk opened the register and removed $200 cash and gave it to the individual, who then left the store and fled toward Cedar Avenue. No injuries were reported as a result of the incident. The individual is about 180 pounds with short dark hair. He was last seen wearing a black jacket, black sneakers, blue jeans and sunglasses.
