Sunday, July 15 at 11:10 p.m. — Police responded to a report of an assault in front of 698 Courtlandt Avenue.

An individual approached an 81-year-old man from behind and punched him once in his face. The individuals fled on foot northbound on Courtlandt Avenue.

The victim suffered some bruising and pain to his face. There was no interaction between the man and the individual before the assault. The individual is described as an Hispanic man with curly black hair.

47 Precinct

Sunday, July 22 at 11:30 p.m. — Cops received a report of an assault taking place near the corner of East 212nd Street and Tilden Avenue. They received a 911 call. When they got to the scene, they found a 25-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his right arm.

The victim was treated and subsequently released at Jacobi Medical Center.

Tuesday, July 17 at 1:45 p.m. — Police received a report that three armed men gained entry to East 178th Street and Monterey Avenue, where they bound two women with duct tape. They demanded money. When they victims told them there wasn’t any money in the house, they took an Andriod cellphone and fled the location in a late model black Chevrolet Suburban. The truck had at least one plate on it, which may have been a Pennsylvania plate.

Wednesday, July 18 at 4:20 a.m. — Cops got a report that a robbery that occurred at a subway station on the IRT #5 train line at East Gun Hill Road and Sexton Place. A 22-year-old man was waiting for a southbound train when he was approached by two unknown men. One of the men had a knife and demanded that the victim turn over his cell phone. The two individuals fled with the phone. No injuries were reported and surveillance video of the incident was obtained by police.
