Friday, Dec. 26, 9:10 p.m. — A suspect fired two rounds from a black firearm into Sheale Deli Grocery located at 1095 Prospect Avenue, striking the front door and wall inside the bodega. There were no reported injuries sustained by any employees or patrons as a result of the shooting.
Saturday, Dec. 27, 9:24 a.m. — Police responded to a 911 call for an unconscious female at 1548 Bryant Avenue. Upon arrival, officers discovered a 27-year-old female unconscious and unresponsive with trauma to her face and chest. EMS responded and pronounced the female deceased at the scene. The medical examiner will determine the cause of death.
43rd PCT.
Saturday, Dec. 27, 9:45 a.m. — Police responded to a 911 call for a male floating in the water in the vicinity of Bruckner Boulevard and Edgewater Road. Upon arrival of NYPD Harbor Unit, officers discovered an unconscious and unresponsive male floating near the rocks at the water’s edge of the Bronx River. EMS responded and pronounced the male deceased at the scene. The medical examiner will determine the cause of death.
47th PCT.
Tuesday, Dec. 23, 7:35 p.m. – An attempted commercial robbery occurred at 4264 White Plains Road (International Money Transfer). The suspect entered the location, displayed a dummy explosive device, placed the object on the counter and told the clerk they had three minutes to give him money. The suspect then fled the scene empty handed.
Tuesday, Dec. 23, 8:26 p.m. – At a Subway Restaurant located at 4375 White Plains Road, a suspect entered the location, displayed a firearm and demanded money from a 20-year-old store employee. When the victim refused the suspect shot the employee one time in the abdomen and fled on foot southbound on White Plains Road. The victim was removed to Jacobi Hospital in stable condition.
49th PCT.
Thursday, Dec. 25, 6:20 a.m. – A suspect engaged the victim in conversation opposite 2190 Boston Road at which point he punched her in the face and dragged her into a secluded area and raped her. The suspect then fled to parts unknown. EMS responded and transported the victim to an area hospital in stable condition. A male was arrested in connection with the crime and charged with rape, robbery, criminal sex act, and assault.
Friday, Dec. 26, 7:52 p.m. – Police responded to a 911 call of an unconscious male inside the Bronx Psychiatric Center located at 1500 Walters Place. Upon arrival, officers observed a 51-year-old male unconscious and unresponsive, with abrasions on his throat. EMS also responded to the location and pronounced the victim DOA at the scene. A 19-year-old male was arrested in connection with the homicide.
52nd PCT.
Friday, Dec. 19, 11:55 – The 27 year-old male victim was standing in front of his residence on Sedgwick Avenue when the suspect displayed a firearm and allegedly shot the victim once in the buttocks. EMS responded and transported the victim to an area hospital in stable condition.
