Two firefighters are recovering after combating a four-alarm fire inside the Express Laundromat at 2467 Webster Avenue on Friday, March 22. More than 150 firefighters responded to the fire at 12:45 p.m. The fire started inside an attic shared by four businesses including the laundromat. Express Laundromat sustained severe damage including a collapsed roof. A Domino’s pizzeria, cellphone store and barber shop were also damaged by the blaze. Two firefighters sustained minor injuries and were transported to local hospitals for treatment. The FDNY confirmed that no civilians were injured in the blaze. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
