Over 100 firefighters responded to a 3-alarm fire on Thursday, January 18 at 6:30 p.m. at Bon Bini Clothing Store on 204 E. Fordham Road.

According to the FDNY, the fire started in the back of the women’s clothing store while customers were shopping inside.

Two firefighters and one police officer were taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.

Fire officials stated the store’s high concrete walls caused the heat to reflect to the lower levels of the floor making it difficult for firefighters to combat the blaze.

The fire’s cause remains under investigation.
