Queens-based artist Kamille Ejerta, known as OG Millie, was commissioned to paint the mural celebrating the Bronx-born rapper Ice Spice. Ejerta completed the project in just five days, drawing inspiration from Dunkin’ Donuts’ brand colors, Ice Spice herself and the grittiness of New York City. Photo Erin EdwardsIce Spice rose to fame this year after her feature on English singer and record producer PinkPantheress’ song “Boy’s a Liar Pt. 2” became one of the most popular songs of early 2023. In just this year, Ice Spice has gone on to release her own EP “Like..?” and has collaborated with megastars including Nicki Minaj in her song “Princess Diana” and Taylor Swift in her song “Karma.” She was also featured on the song “Barbie World” this summer with Nicki Minaj and Aqua — the theme song of the movie “Barbie” that came out in July and was as of Sunday the 11th top-earning U.S. film of all time in domestic sales, according to Forbes. During the Dunkin’ event on Wednesday, customers received a free Ice Spice donut with the purchase of her new drink.
