Councilman Andy King recognized eight Bronx teen girls as part of the AKATeen Rites of Passage Ceremony on Saturday, June 4 at the Eastchester Heights Courtyard. The AKATeen Rites of Passage Program under Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated, is designed to cultivate and begin the transformation of high school girls into productive young women through a series of workshops, two mandatory retreats and several trips.
