Borough President Ruben Diaz, Jr. recognized the Caribbean community’s vibrant history, culture and leaders during his Caribbean Heritage Celebration on Thursday, June 23 at the Bronx Museum of the Arts. This year’s distinguished honorees included former councilwoman Una Clarke; Glynis Simmons, Women’s Care, Prevention and Support Services GMHC assistant director and Shaun Francois, NYC Board of Education Local 372 president.
