Bronx Community College held a celebration to recognize Constitution and Citizenship Day on Tuesday, September 17, which featured a presentation by State Senator Gustavo Rivera on civic engagement and information on tenant rights as well as an interactive art exhibit, music and even an opportunity to register to vote with help from the college’s Phi Theta Kappa Honors Society. The event, which was organized by the college, BCC Reads, BCC’s office of student life and the BCC Democracy Project, was observed to commemorate the signing of the Constitution in 1787.
