Assemblyman Mark Gjonaj and the Bronx’s Albanian community celebrated the ninth anniversary of Kosovo’s independence on Saturday, February 18 at Maestro’s Caterers.

The cultural celebration honored Freedom Award recipient ambassador William Walker who led the Kosovo Verification Mission and posthumous Patriot Award recipients Ahmet Zherka, Gjergj Kala and Shaban Gjonbalja.
