In honor of Women’s History Month, Assemblyman Mark Gjonaj formally recognized a few local women leading the Bronx to a better tomorrow on Saturday, March 18 at F&J Pine Restaurant.
This year’s Women of Distinction honorees included Monica Major, director of Education and Youth for Borough President Ruben Diaz, Jr.; Norma Lopez, Bronx Park East Community Association executive board member; Nora Furey, Community Board 7 secretary; Mimoza Dajci, Albanian American Women Hope and Peace Organization founder and Yvette Armstrong, attorney and community activist.
