On Tuesday, May 21, Borough President Ruben Diaz, Jr. and the Dominican Day Parade, Inc. co-hosted the ‘Dominican Day Parade Reception,’ in collaboration with Congressman Adriano Espaillat, Councilman Fernando Cabrera and assembly members Victor Pichardo and Karines Reyes. This year included special recognition by the Dominican Day Parade to ‘Adopted Dominican’ Konstantinos ‘Gus’ Tyras. The reception took place at The Bronx County Building, Veterans’ Memorial Hall and featured Dominican food and entertainment by Ramona Torres Grupo Folklorico, Dominican Dance Group.

The event honored the 2019 Dominican Day Parade leadership and individuals who have contributed to the growth and promotion of the nation’s community and culture.
