Borough President Ruben Diaz, Jr. hosted his annual Dominican Heritage celebration on Thursday, February 16 at Hostos Community College in honor of a few exemplary individuals contributing to the growth and promotion of their community and culture.
This year’s honorees included Senator Marisol Alcantara; Luz Tavarez, director of Government and Community Relations for Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of New York and Ana Garcia Reyes, Hostos Community College’s associate dean for community relations.
