49th, 43rd precincts searching for sexual harassment suspect

The 49th and 43rd precincts are currently searching for a man who can’t keep his hands to himself.

Local law enforcement are looking for a man who is known to have sexually harassed at least six women.

On Thursday, November 17, a black male approximately 6’2, 180 pounds ran through the streets of Morris Park and grabbed women around their breasts and throwing them to the floor. The incidents occurred at 1640 Bronxdale Avenue, on Rhinelander and Hunt avenues, opposite 2167 Bogart Avenue, and on Adam Street and East Tremont Avenue.

According to Officer Troy Doiley of the 49th Precinct, the man would attack a woman, then run around to other streets and in less than an hour, grab another.

“He is literally running the streets and grabbing the women from behind,” said Officer Troy Doiley. “It seems as if all of the incidents happened right after each other during the afternoon hours, mostly around the Morris Park area.”

The man was seen wearing light blue jeans and a grey-hooded sweatshirt and is also accused of two similar incidents at two undisclosed locations in the 43rd Precinct. As of Monday, November 21, officers have yet to identify the suspect.

“He only hit one day within a span of six hours so it’s really hard to tell who it could be,” said 49th Precinct Deputy Inspector Kevin Nicholson. “We have a plan in the works to catch this man and we are following all possible leads.”
