Police are looking for a male that robbed his online dating companion after being late for a meetup in a south Bronx motel last March in the 44th Precinct.

The Red Carpet Inn at 1300 Sedgwick Avenue played host to what could have been an afternoon of delight between these two males at about 4:50 p.m. on Friday, March 6; instead it became a robbery crime scene.

When the 37-year-old victim arrived late to the rendez vous, the other male grew irritated and a verbal dispute ensued, according to police.

Shortly after, that argument turned physical and the 37-year-old was held at knifepoint by the other male, who demanded he turn over his book bag containing $55, a set of headphones, and a Samsung tablet valued at $500, the NYPD reported.

After fleeing in an unknown direction, police describe the companion turned robber as a male, with a medium complexion and build, between 25 to 35 years-old, approximately 5 foot 9 inches tall, with dark hair.

He was last seen wearing a blue bubble jacket, multi-colored sneakers and dark colored jeans.

Anyone with information in regard to this incident is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).
