The 45th Precinct Community Council toasted local leaders and police officers at its annual breakfast gala and awards ceremony held Wednesday, May 11 at Villa Barone Manor.
This year’s civilian honorees included Church of God’s Children Archbishop Angel Rosario, Bronx Clergy Task Force CEO; Lynn Gerbino, Throggs Neck Homeowners Association president; Hannah Acompora, Westchester Square Civic Association secretary; Fr. Robert Grippo, former St. Theresa Church pastor now serving on the Archdiocese of New York’s Making All Things New advisory council; Brenda Prohaska, City Island Community Center president and Al Carena, Spencer Estate Civic Association president.
In addition, Captain Danielle Raia, 45th Precinct commanding officer, honored the 45th Precinct’s sergeant Jason Diaz, Sergeant Louis Martinez, police officer Ronnie Mejia, police officer Yilson Melendez and police officer John Quis for their dedication and service to the community.
Captain Raia and the Bronx Borough commander honored this year’s Community Service Award recipients.
