Young Kings and Queens Chess Club and Mentoring program held a chess tournament and victory party for youth this President’s Day, Monday, February 18. The program was celebrating a recent victory of a team from World View High School. The goal of the day was to teach the youth that the tournaments aren’t about winning or losing, but about building bonds and closer relationships, while learning from one another and understanding yourself. Since school was closed, the event took places in the community with the help and support from NYC Motorcars, Eastwood Manor and Eastchester Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram.
