The New York Yankees partnered with New York City Public Schools to hold their annual back-to-school resource fair on Thursday, Aug. 16 at Yankee Stadium.
This initiative helps to ensure local families of Bronx School District 9 have access to the resources they need in order for their children to excel in the 2024-2025 school year.
Families who attended the event received backpacks and school supplies.
More than a dozen community organizations were on hand to provide attendees with information on health and social services, youth initiatives, employment opportunities, and food access.
Among the organizations on hand with tables were the American Red Cross, Bank of America, the Food Bank for New York City, the Hispanic Federation, Kips Bay Boys and Girls Club, Leap NYC, Lincoln Hospital, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, New Settlement, New York Public Library, NYC Department of Youth and Community Development, the NYPD, Optical Academy, Renaissance Youth Center, SCAN-Harbor and the YMCA.
