WWII Vet Receives American Legion Medal On 100th Birthday

Retired U.S. Marine Corp. lieutenant colonel Ron Watson presented an American Legion Medal to World War II veteran Nicholas Calabrese in honor of his 100th birthday on Tuesday, February 21 at Throgs Neck Extended Care.

Calabrese fought in the Pacific theater during the war, served as a NYPD detective and a minor league baseball player.
