Two police officers and a motorist are recovering from injuries following an accident at Eastchester Road and Pelham Parkway North. According to police, a 49th Precinct patrol car occupied by two police officers was driving on Eastchester Road and Pelham Parkway North on Friday, February 2 at 12:20 p.m. A NYPD spokesman confirmed the patrol car had its lights and sirens on as it passed through the intersection, but it failed to stop before striking a black Honda which was making its way up Pelham Parkway North at the same time. The two police officers and the Honda’s driver suffered minor injuries and were taken to Jacobi Hospital for medical treatment. No charges were filed following this incident. Photo by Edwin Soto
