The first such incident occurred on December 9, 2007, at the Getty Station, at 3031 Bailey Street.
The Getty Station was the subject of two additional robberies on February 8, and March 15.
The suspect moved on to a new target on March 27, taking aim at a Sunoco Gas station at 2895 Jerome Avenue.
Police say that in all four incidents, the suspect enters the gas station pretending to be a customer.
After walking around the location, the suspect goes behind the counter, armed with a gun, and removes cash from the register.
There have not been any reported injuries during the robbery attempts.
Video surveillance has captured the alleged suspect fleeing the scene. He is described as a black male in his 40’s and is believed to be 5’10” to 6’ tall.
Residents who may spot the suspect are being asked not to confront the thief, as he may be armed and dangerous.
