Senator Jeff Klein honored retiring NYPD detective Victor DiPierro for his distinguished 20-year career at the third annual Bronx Day celebration on Monday, June 15 in Albany. DiPierro, a Pelham Bay native, joined the NYPD in 1995 as a patrolman before working his way up to detective specialist at the 49th Precinct the following year. DiPierro’s last official day was Saturday, June 20.
